It is official that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’s Arctic Strike DLC will be delayed, and you won’t be able to find it in stores on it’s original release date, July 3.
“We decided to take a small amount of extra time to further polish the content,” told a Ubisoft rep to Joystiq. “The pack is planned for release later in July and the exact release date will be announced as soon as possible.”
The map pack adds new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, a Guerrilla Mode Co-op map, and six new weapons. It will cost 800 Microsoft Points/$9.99. Keep checking for the new release date.
Hey Mac users, get ready for the hit shooting game, soon to come for you guys! Call of Duty: Black Ops will be coming to the Mac, and expect it to come this fall. There will also be downloadable content for the game will be released too. Aspyr Media announced that the shooter will be available for digital download and retail.
I think that this will be a good milestone for this game, as it will cause more people to play this game. Aspyr has been able to handle Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2, so I think this was a smart move.
Microsoft has kept to their promise and their $99 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect bundles are now available at various Best Buy and GameStop locations. It was first announced on Major Nelson’s blog, saying that Best Buy and GameStop have joined the Microsoft Store as the only places to buy a $99 Xbox 360. These bundles also include a two year $14.99 monthly Gold Xbox Live subscription.
Honestly, I think this deal isn’t worth it. The $99 and the two year subscription makes the cost a total of $460. While at other stores, you can buy this exact same bundle for about $300. But again, it’s up to you if you’re willing to buy this bundle or not.
It has been announced that Kazuo Hirai has stepped down from his job as chairman of his division at Sony. He will remain the president and CEO of Sony Corporation. Andrew House will replace his old position.
Hirai joined Sony Computer Entertainment in August 1995. He played a huge role in their success with the Playstation and Playstation 2.
As many of you know, Zynga is the creator of many popular titles like Farmville and Words With Friends. But get ready for their next upcoming titles: Farmville 2,The Ville,ChefVille, and a new social multiplayer platform calledZynga With Friends. This was announced at the Zynga Unleashed event.
Zynga With Friends is a platform that will allow you to check your friends list, chat with other players, and check all the games that you play. It also includes user profiles for your records and a live social stream. There is no release date set yet, but expect this to be coming out pretty soon.
At the Zynga Unleashed meeting, it was also announced that Zynga is trying to get away from Facebook. Zynga With Friends will definitely help with this goal of theirs.
Farmville 2 is going to be a sequel to the original Farmville. With the exception of the brand new 3D graphics, there is no information on what is in store for this game. I’m expecting fake animals and plants, though, just like the original game.
As you can tell, Chefville is a game that is fairly similar to one of Zynga’s own games, Cafe World. Players can collect ingredients, design their kitchen, and learn new recipes. You’ll also receive recipes through your email.
The Ville is very similar to The Sims Social, a Facebook game by EA. You will be able to customize your avatar, decorate your house, build a home, cook, party, and much, much more.

The next assassin game, Assassin’s Creed 3, will arrive this autumn. In this next action-packed sequel, you will explore all of colonial America. You will encounter cities, like New York, Jamestown, Boston, and a bunch of other cities. Technically, you will tour all of New England back in the 1700s.

Disney and Interactive Studios is proud to present their upcoming game for all Nintendo consoles, Wreck-It Ralph. Disney’s upcoming video game-themed animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph will be turned into a “classic, arcade-style sidescroller,” announced Activision, the publisher. It will be released in the fall for the DS, 3DS, and Wii.
This game is a “story extension” to the film, continuing the movie after where it left off. Wreck-It Ralph is said to “inspire a whole new generation of young gamers.” Players will use Ralph’s strength to defeat enemies and you can also play Fix-It Felix to repair any damage while you fight off a Cy-Bug Invasion.
As many of you gamers know, Far Cry 3, Ubisoft’s upcoming action shooter, was supposed to be released on September 4, but now it is delayed until December 4. It is scheduled for release on November 29 for Europe.
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” producer Dan Hay says. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”
Over the summer, Ubisoft will be holding a beta for Far Cry 3 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for two weeks. If you want to get into the beta, pick up a copy of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier at GameStop and be a GameStop PowerUp Rewards member. You’ll receive a code which you can enter at http://www.gamestop.com/gs/ravecode. Once the beta is live, you’ll receive an invite.
